At the south end of Foz de Arelho, a family seaside resort that is pretty, if very busy in summer, the Obidos Lagoon is surrounded by pines and eucalyptus. On its banks, Aldeia dos Pescadores is a fishing village that has developed into a small seaside resort, set slightly back from the channel that connects the freshwater of the lagoon to the ocean. It is possible to take a pleasant walk to the beaches of the Atlantic.
