Wright laid the first stone of this house in 1889 but continually remodelled and added to it over the years and his alterations chart how his architectural style evolved. It has been restored to its 1909 version, when Wright lived there and his studio was operational. The fireplace in the heart of the lounge is a feature that is typical of Prairie-style houses. The games room (1895) is a wonderful space nestled beneath a high ceiling.
