The 25m/82ft-deep chasm lies at the junction of two galleries, once the course of a river. In the first gallery, inhabited by a significant colony of bats (nearly 14,000!), stalagmites and stalactites have over time acquired bizarre shapes and stranger colours, from orange to green. The second gallery is a veritable forest of needles dangling from its ceiling.
