Cathedral of St. John the Baptist
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The reinforced concrete Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist (1962) resembles a ship's sails. A magnificent stained-glass window adorns the façade and the stained-glass window in the apse, by Brother Eric de Thierry, depicts a stunning Christ in Majesty. Inside, the Way of the Cross is engraved on slate walls; above, the icons represent the former bishops of Nicolet. Finally, to the left of the black granite altar, a passage leads to the baptistery, adorned with a mosaic.
