In the somewhat far-flung district of Taganka, you can follow in the footsteps of several emblematic figures, including Andrei Rublev, the most famous icon painter and of singer Vladimir Vysotsky, whose popularity has never waned since his death in 1980. Taganka is also home to some massive industrial sites and former factories that have been rehabilitated and taken over by young Muscovite creators, offering the visitor the chance to see another facet of contemporary Moscow.
