De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The museum was named after Andrei Rublev, a monk, icon and fresco painter active in the 14C, probably due to the fact that he ended his days at Andronikov Monastery. But the rich collection of icons assembled here contains no works by Rublev (mainly at the State Tretyakov Gallery). Among the most interesting icons, note the Christ Pantocrator (13C), the Virgin of Vladimir (1572) and the Nativity of the Virgin by Feodor Zubov (1688).
