Pushkin didn't in fact live here (unlike the apartment-museum in the Arbat district), but the exhibitions staged here do chart the work and literary influences of Russia's great poet. One of the highlights is the author's manuscripts. Also worthy of mention are the museum's elegant interiors which recreate a 19C palace, particularly the ball room.
