Grand seminary of Montreal
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Two towers with conical roofs mark the former site of a small fort constructed by the Sulpicians in 1676 to protect their mission. In 1685, the fort was rebuilt in stone with four towers and a defending wall. The two north towers were destroyed in 1854 to make room for the construction of the seminary (1857). The remaining towers (interpretation panels chart the history of the fort and its congregation) have been restored.
