This venerable institution, founded in 1860, boasts some 40,000 objets d'art ranging from Antiquity to the present day. The museum is famous for its Canadian and Inuit art, its decorative art collections (including bronze sculptures from Ancient China to 20C glasswork) and its unique collection of over 3,000 Japanese incense boxes. The museum is spread over several pavilions which are linked together by Sherbrooke Street.
