Sun Life Building
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This magnificent Beaux Arts edifice (1913), built out of steel, sheathed in white granite and adorned with colossal colonnades on its four façades, occupies the entire east side of Dorchester Square. It contributed to Montreal's status as Canada's most important financial centre at the time. During World War II, the British government stored its Treasury bonds and gold reserves in its third basement level. The former headquarters of Canadian Sun Life, it continues to play host to 4,000 employees in addition to residents.
