Linking Eaton Centre and La Baie department store, this shopping centre (1988) is the result of one of Montreal's most spectacular feats of engineering. Excavation and construction occurred beneath Christ Church Cathedral over a period of several months, during which the structure's weight was borne only by slim pylons. Ogive ornamentation in the underground concourses is a reminder of the presence of the religious monument above.
