The headquarters of Alcan Aluminium Limited, a major producer of aluminium, features an innovative amalgamation of old and new. Designers of the structure (1983) successfully followed preservation regulations by integrating into its façade the five 19C buildings on the south side of Rue Sherbrooke between Rues Stanley and Drummond.
