It was St. Odilon, the prestigious abbot of Cluny, who helped the Abbey of Moissac reach its golden age in the 11C. It is famous for its cloister and the tympanum on the south portal (circa 1130) of the Church of Saint-Pierre, one of the masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture. The featured theme is St. John the Evangelist's vision of the Apocalypse. Inside the church, note the remarkable Romanesque Christ from the 12C.
