Housed in the unique exhibition space of the elegant Palazzo Pomarici (16C) and adjoining hypogea, MUSMA sets the standard for museography. Some 270 contemporary and often audacious works communicate with and bring to life the magnificent spaces, an especially fascinating dialogue in the the rock caves. Most of the artists exhibited are Italian (such as Pomodoro and Martini) but a number of international artists are featured (Alechinsky, Calder, Kounellis, Moore and Zadkine).
