Situated at the spot where the Reuss leaves the lake, this covered wooden bridge was entirely rebuilt after a fire in 1993. Dating back to the 14C, and flanked with a large octagonal tower, it protected the lake side of the town. It was decorated with 100 paintings on wood by Hans Heinrich Wägmann in the 17C; some of the paintings escaped the fire and are distinguishable by traces of soot.
