This Baroque castle set in superb grounds was designed for Duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg on the model of Versailles in the early 18C. The quadrilateral building boasts 452 rooms decorated in Baroque, Rococo and neo-Classical style, with 18 different buildings and three courtyards. Several rooms house fine collections of ceramics and costumes, while the Kinderreich introduces children to life in the 18C. The theatre has retained its original decor and its machinery is still in working order.
