The world's smallest funicular was built in 1901. After several years of closure, it started operating again in 2017. With its two carriages, it climbs the 96m gradient of Bunker Hill (33% incline!) to California Plaza, delivering residents of the well-heeled neighbourhoods to the shopping, business and leisure hub comprised of Spring Street, Hill Street and Broadway. It's very picturesque, set amid large buildings.
