Originally known as the Sunset Towers Apartments (1931), and subsequently as the St. James Club, then the Argyle Hotel, the elegant 15-story building was home to such stars as Errol Flynn, Jean Harlow, Clark Gable, Carole Landis, Paulette Goddard, John Wayne and Marilyn Monroe.
