The YMCA and YWCA youth hostels stand at the western end of this street. A glass wall on its façade lightens the imposing Congress House, the headquarters of the Trade Unions. In front of the Hall stands a war memorial, an immense screen of ophit marble, sculpted on site by Jacob Epstein in 1958.
