Crewe House
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built in 1730 by Edward Shepherd and subsequently enlarged, this was the home of the Marquess of Crewe (d 1945). Preceded by railings and lawns, this is London's last surviving example of the kind of gentleman's residence so familiar from 18C engravings. Its white stucco frontage is enlivened by Venetian windows and a portico incorporating columns and a triangular pediment.
