The London Dungeon houses a macabre and sombre gallery of tableaux, depicting scenes of death from disease (leprosy, plague), various methods of torture and execution (hanging, the guillotine) and old surgical techniques, against a background of atmospheric sound effects. In a separate chamber, the story of Jack the Ripper is told using many striking special effects. The space is well used, but those of a sensitive disposition and young children are advised not to visit the attraction.
