Covering 26ha, Parque das Laranjeiras is both a zoo and garden. A rose garden is planted in the lower part. There are enclosures for nearly 200 animals, including numerous exotic species. Note that the dolphinarium can only be visited during shows. The Children's Museum proposes educational activities for four to 13 year-old kids. For an overview of the site, take the cable car or the miniature train through the garden. The park has a picnic area as well as a grill-restaurant.
