This immense building, completed in 1993, plays an essential role in Lisbon's and Portugal's cultural life. It comprises a conference centre, two theatres for a varied programme of events (music, theatre and dance), as well as the Museu Colecção Berardo, which is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The complex also has several bars, a restaurant and a cafeteria.
