The famous Torres das Amoreiras are three post-Modern towers clad in glass and marble slabs in shades of pink, grey and blue. They were designed by the architect Tomás Taveira and completed in 1985. The buildings have been turned into offices, luxury apartments and the large Amoreiras Shopping Center, on the roof of which there is a superb panoramic terrace.
