The Águas Livres (Free Water) Aqueduct, built between 1732 and 1834 measures over 58km with all of its distributaries. The 35 arches of this work of art span the Alcântara Valley, the largest being 65m high, with a width of 29m. You can walk along part of it in the Campolide neighbourhood, above Amoreiras.
