The park is in the middle of the tourist district in Puerto de la Luz, in an area full of bars, restaurants and nightclubs thronged with tourists. Equally numerous are the bazaars selling goods (mainly hi-fi equipment) at bargain prices because the port of Las Palmas enjoys privileged customs regulations.
