The glimmering rocks, eroded and hewn by potholes and dotted with blue, green and ochre deposits, the astonishingly lush vegetation and unusual light make a visit to these dark gorges, carved by the Dranse de Morzine, an unforgettable experience. Its walls rise to 60m/200ft in places. Following landslides, a huge rock has remained jammed between its walls 40m/131ft above the fast-flowing mountain stream, creating a fantastic natural crossing, the "Devil's bridge".
