De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built from the 12C onwards, this Cistercian abbey with pink-tiled roofs and a small belfry stands near the banks of the River Durance. The church was built on a slope between 1175 and 1220, while the cloister and monastic buildings date from the 13C. In decline since the 14C, and abandoned following the Wars of Religion, the abbey was bought by the State and has since been restored. A fine example of the simplicity extolled by its founding order, the building boasts harmonious lines enhanced by the quality of the light.
