De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Formerly used as a powder store, this tower owes its name to the large chains that once linked it at night to St Nicholas Tower, thus sealing off the harbour. If Rabelais is to be believed, the chain was used to tie down Pantagruel in his cradle! Today it is home to an exhibition entitled "New France", offering visitors the opportunity to follow migrants from centuries past on their journeys to the New World.
