De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Fleeing the revolts staged by the Canuts (silk workers) in the 19C, the silk industry moved to the Nord-Dauphiné region, where "Voiron cloth" had been produced for over two centuries. In a rehabilitated former textile mill, you will see spools, treadle spinning wheels, handmade velvet manual looms, and the Jacquard loom, to name but a few. The machinery still functions and can produce small pieces of work. A section is given over to tulle- and lace-making.
