The avenues in Konya converge at the hill on which Alaaddin Park is situated. The park is home to the 13C Alaaddin Mosque, which is dominated by its minaret and lined with classical columns. At the end of the park, all that remains of the sultans' winter palace (their tombs are in the mosque) is a small ruined wall.
