Surrounded by tall buildings and hemmed in by two avenues (HC Andersens Boulevard and Vester Voldgade), this huge square is a hive of activity. On the central pedestrianised island, crowds of onlookers form around street performers as concerts and commercial happenings take place. A bronze statue portraying two trumpet players graces the façade of the town hall (Lurblæseren); to the right is the Dragon Fountain.
