A splendid collection of species from all over the world grows at the Bali Orchid Garden in Sanur. Some are even for sale in sterile and hermetically sealed jars. Coffee lovers can try the world's most expensive coffee here: Kopi Luwak ($1,000 per kg!). It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten then excreted, undigested, by the civet. During the process, a fermentation process provoked by gastric acids and enzymes acts upon the beans, lending the coffee its distinctive taste.
