This square is located in the popular district of San Mateo, where the town's Moorish market was once located. Admire at one end the ornate façade of the Palacio de Riquelme, the only remaining section of the Renaissance building. On the Corinthian columns of the first register, admire a pair of "savages" accompanied by two lions, offering symbolic protection since Antiquity. The archaeological museum also fronts the square.
