De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This royal palace is associated with King Frederick VII and his morganatic wife, Countess Danner (his third marriage), to whom he bequeathed the estate. She donated it to an institution for young women in need, and asked that the south wing, dating from the 17C and 18C, which she and the king had occupied, be preserved and opened to the public. The north wing dates from the 15C and the imposing staircase tower was added by Christian IV. A third wing was built later.
