Reaching from the Columbia River to the entrance of Willapa Bay, the coastline of the peninsula squares up to the waves of the Pacific over 45km. Windy conditions make this beach popular with kite fliers, who gather here every August for the annual International Kite Festival. In town, the World Kite Museum offers a modest display of kites from around the world.
