Amid the stones and vines of the village of Hrastovlje stands the bell tower of an exceptionally fine church: Cerkev Sv. Trojice, whose walls are entirely covered with frescoes. This Paupers' Bible uniting the sacred and the profane is a testament to the certitudes of the Middle Ages. Not to be missed.
