Phuoc An Hoi Quan Temple
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built in the early 20C on the site of a communal house, this temple is one of the most attractively decorated in Cholon. In a subtle play of light, the rays of the sun are slowly extinguished in a space full of swirling incense. The wood panels that adorn pillars and columns are of particular note, as is the ceramic horse of Quan Cong, on the left as you enter. Note the enormous statue of the general, immediately recognisable by his purple face, flanked by two storks made from ceramics shards.
