Haguenau Forest
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
The Haguenau forest, which covers nearly 21,000ha/52,000acres, was once inhabited as the Celtic tumulus and burial places among the trees show. Churches and convents were built in medieval times, earning it the nickname of "Holy forest". The Gros chêne (great oak) of which only the trunk remains is near the modest chapel devoted to St Arbogast.
