The Town Park surrounds the Old Town to the east over a wide area. This fine landscaped park runs along the line of the former walls demolished in the 19C. In the middle, the Forum Stadtpark welcomes young avant-garde artists. The great fountain in front, in a luxuriant setting of fine old trees, bushes and flowerbeds, is reminiscent of the two fountains on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. It was executed by the same French workshop.
