Housed in the episcopal palace, it presents a comprehensive overview of Girona art, from the pre-Romanesque period to the 20C, including Romanesque and Gothic art, ceramics, gold and silverwork, glasswork etc. Its most noteworthy exhibits include the Gothic retables by Lluís Borrassà and Bernat Martorel, and, in the most recent part, works by artists who have lived or stayed in Girona, such as the painters Ramon Martí i Alsina and Santiago Rusiñol.
