Located between Długi Targ ("Long Market") and the River Motława, it has four arches. It was built between 1568 and 1571 by Jan Kramer and Regnier from Amsterdam, on the site of a defensive gate from the 14C named "Koga", as a residence for visiting royal, but only Marie Louise Gonzaga lived there for a time. Today, the ex-president of the Republic, Lech Wałęsa, has an office here. Seat of the National Museum, it also hosts temporary exhibitions.
