This river, which reaches a depth of 10-12m, is fed by two sources. The temperature of its water always remains between 10° and 15°. Its slow current and low temperature favour the growth of some very specific plant life, which sees European species (like the well-known buttercup) growing alongside African ones such as papyrus.
