Hôtel de la Monnaie
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This 13C building is typical of Figeac's civil architecture, with arcades on the ground floor and double windows crowned with circular openings. The eight-sided stone chimney was a frequent model in the town. The name "Oustal dé lo Mounédo" refers to the royal mint established by Philip IV (Philip the Fair), although it has been proved that the mint was actually in another building and that this was the home of a wealthy local. The Hôtel de la Monnaie now houses the tourist office.
