Sahrij Madrasa
De Groene Gids
De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built over the period 1321-1323 on the order of the Marinid sultan Abu Said Ohman, the Sahrij medersa was made up of three buildings: the main medersa (named for the ablution pool), the Sbaiyine medersa (the seven readers of the Qur'an) and a guesthouse ("Dar Chiakh"), restored in 1916 under the reign of Sultan Yussef ben Hassan. In the patio, the white stuccoed walls and multi-coloured zelliges are reflected in the pool, a setting conducive to silence and contemplation.
