This museum is a contemporary reconstruction around the 17C remains of the old St Lazare Hospital. The medieval collection offers a fine overview of monumental and religious art in the Vosges from the 12C and there is a splendid coin collection (15,000 currencies). Displays include nearly 200 16C to early 20C paintings, sculptures and objets d'art (Rembrandt, De La Tour, Le Lorrain). Contemporary art focuses on the main movements from the 1960s to 2000.
