De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Standing on the waterfront, the striking curved concrete structure was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma as "a tribute to the beauty of the Scottish cliffs". Inside, the Design Museum presents gems of Scottish innovation from the holdings of London's famous V&A and the V&A Dundee is the only offshoot of its parent institution outside London. In terms of displays, eclecticism is the rule from the raincoat designed by Charles Macintosh around 1820, to the kaleidoscope (1815), as well as work by today's designers.
