With 700ha, this is the largest urban park in Europe. Its name derives from the Gaelic fionn uisce, which means "clear water", and the place is dotted with lakes. Very pleasant for strolling on a fine day, the park is home to a wide range of sports facilities, including cricket pitches and children's playgrounds, as well as Dublin Zoo light at the southeastern end.
