This striking isolated building dominated by a bell tower is the last to be founded by Stefan cel Mare, who died before construction finished (1504). Its rectangular silhouette, buttressing and flared roof are typically Moldavian. The fresco decoration dates from 1531, during the reign of Petru Rares, who may be discerned in the painting, presenting the church to Church along with Bogdan III and its founder. The naos features a richly detailed Passion cycle.
