Cuevas del Almanzora Castle was built in the 16C by the Marquis of Los Vélez. Today it houses two museums: the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Antonio Manuel Campoy and the Museo Arqueológico Municipal. The Casa de la Tercia, a neo-Classical extension of the castle (18C), houses the municipal library.
